I was wondering if i should put gear lube on the gears that are on the side of the gears plate or i should leave it.

Ivory soap will help them wear in and stop making so much noise.

Lube will attract dirt and make them wear out faster.

I use Moly grease

The grease flings off and leaves a coating of Moly to lube the gears

soap is actually a good idea it has natural lube in it, I have tried dry lubes on a lot of things and it works but does not last long.
Dry lube didn't work for me either nor did my bike chain lube which I was sure would do the job
