I received a prototype today for the belt drive cover. I can't believe how much stronger it is. We have not finalized a price point yet. I am excited it turned out so nice.

Looks great, agreed, strong is good, agreed, but it all means nothing if it fits the same as the stock one!!!

What are we super models.one ounce really??? I bash mine.i also under stand that weight is slow more to move.but this is not nhra.i used to race at englishtown and we raced with empty fuel tanks just enuff to go 1/4 mile.but rc cars come on.i agree with krashkrieg how much lighter can a gear cover make it.i bet it will lighten up your wallet...lol...

Looks good..... I prefer to give an inch for my belt to spine freely inside though..... Is it wide enough for the slack of my belt to spin freely without making contact on the cover?

CF still looks badass though it must be really thin CF because it sure looks like it's colored plastic to look like CF...

It is carbon fiber. I can stand on it and I'm 210 lbs! I just mounted it today and it fits a little better. This is just the first prototype. The lexan cover fit inside the carbon fiber cover so it's inside dimension is about the outside dimension of the lexan cover.

For those of you wanting to upgrade this is the MT plastic gear plate on the Xseries.
