hi guys

glen here again from Australia

i got sent from new zealand from a porter there which benckie knows the guy who i brought the fg mt off.

any way i recieved the fully ported head and piston today,

it is a 34 mm bore size.

but it is a 2 bolt head not 4 bolt .

i was hoping it would of been a 4 bolt head ,dam.

also the cylinder and piston have been made in to a " flat top "design dome type.

is this good ??

what advantges of flat top verses dome style ??

what probs will i have with a 2 bolt, blown out bases gaskets may be ??

any diff besides the 2 bolt verses 4 bolt of the head ??

are 2 bolt heads still very good ??

so is 34 mm diam bore/piston a big bore kit ??

should i buy a copeer gasket for it ?

and use a sealer with it ,what type ??

and may be use spring washers as well ??

sorry for all the questions guys

hope to get some info of ya r.e this

cheers

on-du-run.
don't know anything about the "flat top" piston job. the 2 bolt heads are fine. 4 bolt is better becouse you can bump the compression slightly with out blowing gaskets, but not too much couse your still working with the same cylander plating. too much heat/compression and it will cook. get the copper gasket. you wont have any issues with them blowing out, but use some copper gasket sealer and warm up the new gasket with a torche if you want. that will make it soft so it forms better to the head/cylander. what are spring washers? oh ya. the lock washers.. no. just use the normal head bolts. you shouldnt have a problem with is getting lose on you.

hi kryp

how are ya mate

thanks for the reply mate,i can always count on you for info

much appreicated mate.

the reason why he sent porter a 2 bolt as both motors with mt are 2 bolt only.

he said also 4 bolt are better for torque due to there porting and 2 bolt rev higher !!

also r.e flat top maching in piston and cylinder was to boost max compression and power to suit 28 mm crank

cheers
