    Some frustration!

The redcat aluminum pull start engine cover does not work as designed using the stock pull start cover internal parts.

It's puzzling why Redcat designed it the way they did instead of making a straight forward bolt on copy of the stock one.

Although I have no clue how they could have possibly done it, I'm still wondering how they did it. I have hard time believing that they would design, mass produce a part and sell it when it simply doesn't work. If any one can shine in that would be great.

I manage to make it work, but it took buying and mixing up some foreign parts. Now only time will tell if it actually works reliably.

I bought the redcat XB aluminum roll cage but it doesn't work with my pipe (MCD V4 Jetpro pipe). So next on the list is to create my own roll cage.

Made a front top plate to support the battery and receiver. Using a traxxas Tmaxx Radio receiver box.

@rawb4291 Thanks! That's the theme I'm going with. Been buried under work, slow progress on the project but will get back to it soon.

Finally got some time to work on the project.

Long story short, broke the redcat front shock top mount so I decided to us the Baja shock in all 4 corners. Had to make new shock towers and while I was at it decided to dish the plastic wing mount and made replacement in aluminum.

On or off road for test drive...that's the question...

Blue beadlocks will be used either way.
