sorry to bring this up, but figured better than starting a new thread on the same issue.

Does anyone make the sleeves now to purchase?

or, anyone here willing to cut some and sell?

I've had five or six of them break on me, but I only had one that split. All the others broke where the pin hole is drilled in the shaft.

I usually just break or bend the dog bones.

Hi Guys

Got my boots but I have a question.

When I compress them the axle end slides back along the axle until the boot relaxes.

Not enough to come off the cup end though.

Just wondering if I should put a small cable tie on them?

Thanks

Phill

I put a zip tie right onto the axle, keeps the boot from sliding up the axle. Just how I did it. Others may have a different way.

Just wondering your thoughts on grease?

I'm torn between wheel bearing grease and silicon.

I use lucas red n tacky. Its a lithium grease. Havent had any problems with the cvd joint. I have bent the shafts before there was any signs of wear on the cvd. I have switched over to mcd dog bones on the rear now. But still run cvd up front with boots packed with red n tacky.

Broke another diff cup at the pin hole. I either gotta learn to drive better or someone has to come up with something stronger. I get a little rammy with the throttle, cant help it, this thing is a blast to drive.
