The motor is 98mm x 58mm. Yeah its a tight fit I had to move the stock plastic front brace to the other side of the front drive shaft and if memory serves me right when I made my motor mount I raised it a few mm to accommodate the new motor

    Rampage XBE motor mount options?

Hi Don b. To be honest it would be easier to copy the photo and either make it yourself or find someone to make it for you as I am in New Zealand and wouldn't be worth it. I am sure there are plenty of members here on the fourm would be able to help. If you have any more questions just fire away...

The motor has been a beast . Temps were really good with the combo of the hobbywing ESC and was getting 20 min run time even with the turnigy 5000 Mah 25 c lipos . I have just transferred the combo to my HPI Baja 5b and again the temps are really good

    Rampage XBE motor mount options?

I started with a 12 tooth pinion and the standard spur with the standard wheels but then went to 5b wheels which then got the temps a little high but still manageable but now have gone back to the 10 tooth pinion by getting a tungsten carbide drill ( masonry drill ) to drill out the standard...

    Rampage XBE motor mount options?

What I did was cut the old motor mount off and welded a 10mm alloy plate and driiled and slotted to accommodate the sky toro beast 910kv motor. Its a tight fit with the can being pretty close to the centre drive shalf . I am running the hobbywing Max 5 ESC and only running 8s. Yeah its probably...

Ok thanks for the info. Have been searching on the internet and seen there has been some success with using drywall tape been wrapped around the inner foam on the big horse power bajas so going to look at that. Don't really want to go to the 5t wheels as at the moment I have found the sweet spot...

Do you have a link for the zero growth foams ? The reason I ask will the hard compound hostile zero growth foams are design for the 5t which has a bigger dia of 190mm tyre and the 5b has a dia of 170mm, will the 5b tyres fit over the foams and keep the overall dia to 170mm ?

    My XBE

Thanks. The handling so much better now being able to keep it in a straight line. Only problem have now just blown out a inner rear tire foam Does anyone have suggestions what the best inner foam would be ? ( I am using 5b front wheels )

    My XBE

All that had to be done to fit the hostile rear hubs was make up a spacer for the hubs to fit as the hostile hubs are not as wide plus had to drill out the hinge pin holes on the lower arm to fit the hub carriers ( same dia as the baja 5b ) I made my own pins. As for to mounts I used the...

Replacement Rear diff case for XBE

Yeah they are totally different. Did some research and it wont work especially with no sway bar mounts and the way they attach to the chasses plate. Looks like will have to wait for the next batch of diff housings from 7075rc

Replacement Rear diff case for XBE

Has anyone tried adapting the mt diff housing #050060 to fit the XB. Is this housing just physically to big to fit into the buggy?

Replacement Rear diff case for XBE

Have been in contact with 7075rc :) there going to be a few weeks before they make the cases. Has anyone tried another diff case set up that is stronger on the input bearing side, just wondering if anything from the redcat family fits. Cheers
