    Redcat Rampage XT-E Hobbywing Max5, 5692 1000KV, 8S

Finally got all the bugs worked out. Steering servo is holding up great, wheels/tires are good, was having issues with rear axles until I installed the 7075rc hardened diff cups. I do get the occasional breakage, but its been running awesome.

The Savox servo stripped a gear...No hard impacts, hope it was a defect. New gears on the way.

    ESC question for XT-E

Its not a direct drop in, you will need a kershaw XB-E or 7075rc.com XB-E motor mount. I went with a 1000KV setup. -Colton

    Redcat Rampage XT-E Hobbywing Max5, 5692 1000KV, 8S

Update. I smoked the stock servo and installed a Savox SV0235 with metal arm. I Then broke a rear dog bone and front cv simultaneously on the same side (weird). Still very happy with the XT-E. -Colton

    Standrad motor on 8s xbe

I read that too. I would give it a go. With regards to gearing I would keep it stock (I think thats 11t on the XB-E), no need to gear for more speed (potentially creating more heat) when you've got the voltage to make up for speed. If you wanted I guess you could decrease the pinion size to a 9t...

update: I've broken (2) upper front arms. The problem is not with the plastic, but the threaded metal portion, it keeps snapping (mind you I'm not being easy on the machine). I stopped by my local fastenal yesterday and they suggested that I use a grade "A" socket set screw (threaded rod). They...

    Redcat Rampage XT-E Hobbywing Max5, 5692 1000KV, 8S

Last night I converted my rear xt-e shocks to front Hpi/King motor/Rovan baja shocks. The xt-e and Hpi shock bodies have the same bore/thread pattern so you can use the xt-e shock caps and collars (springs if you would like) on the baja body and the ball end that connects to the lower arm for...

    Redcat Rampage XT-E Hobbywing Max5, 5692 1000KV, 8S

I ran the truck hard this morning, the wing works perfect! No more flip overs when doing a wheelie, also protects the body (planning on doing another xmaxx body in all black). I would definitely recommend this mod. You may be able to use the XB-E wing, but I don't know how flexible the plastic...

    Redcat Rampage XT-E Hobbywing Max5, 5692 1000KV, 8S

update: I ordered castle fans for the xmaxx I have on order so i decided to compare the horizon hobbies dynamite brand 1/5th scale motor fans. The difference was huge. The fans on the castle 2028 blower are much bigger (and feel to move much more air) and it perfectly fits the 5692 leopard...
