They have 100% feedback so they must have good service. I'm glad you posted this because I can't even read anything on there ad so I wouldn't have ordered it. Does yours seem the same as it was before with the gears as far as speed torque etc.
Like I said I was still trying to get it to run smooth. I think I got it finally. It seems about the same as the stock gears, maybe a little more bog at take off and higher max speed. It doesn't seem to wind out nearly as fast as the gears either. The gears always made me say in my head shift.. shift!!! I think I can work out the low end slight bog with a little more tuning of the carb, but will wait till it warms up outside. It really is fine the way it is but i would like a little faster response

Yes that was me and I have not gone that route yet but I have the parts in my cart and will be soon. I bought a temporary venom 5000 mah battery that fit right in with a little convincing. Lol I have charged it once since I got it and I have ran a gallon through it and still going. I'm going to throw it on the charger and see what voltage it's at it has to be getting close.

Hey as long as you aren't having any problems with the 6v system why change it right.

Well I ordered the cover for the cy engines and it fit perfectly.....so I'm not sure what the guy at ddm meant but it worked for me. Got the pull start cover as well.

Oh nevermind I see it in the pic
Yes sir. Got it all on there as far as covers go. It looked like a rats nest when I pulled the top plastic cover of the engine off. Hopefully this will prevent that. Lol. How is the belt working out?

The belt is awesome now! I was going to ask if you got one or not. I see there is 2 available again. They sell out pretty fast. I have a dunerunner I just got used and I am debating if I want the 1:1 ratio for it or not. So I have been holding off. I had the same issue with the rats nest under all those covers without the outerwares. You wont have that problem anymore. The only thing that happened to me is the velcro tape started to pull away from the engine over time. I cleaned the area with brakekleen and used shoo goo glue to refasten the velcro and it has yet to fall back off. I was surprised the shoo goo held up to the heat, but it does and does it well.

I'll keep that in mind if the velcro comes off. I haven't ordered a belt drive yet because I have been so busy I probably will in the next few days now that I know you got it working. I was looking at another thread on here where a guy kind of converted his mt to a tt and used a maverick blackout xb body and it looks nice. I have been looking to do the same because my body is already messed up. The body he used though is from the uk and I can't really bring myself to purchase from a hobby store over there that I know nothing about considering we are talking over 120 bucks. I am waiting to hear back from him on here to see where he purchased his from.

Ya I saw that thread too. It does look cool!! That is alot of cash for a body, but if it is what you want/ or like it really does't matter price. Oh and the belt drive issues I was having had to do with getting the pulleys on the shafts just right so they didn't bind up the bearings. I left a buisness card end play gap on each pulley and it runs smooth now. The first tank of gas it sounded like a supercharger, now the sound is still there but not nearly as loud. I was also getting a bad mesh between the center diff ring gear and pinion, had to tear that apart numerous times to get that to where I can tolerate the noise. There should be slots in the chassis so the center diff can be adjusted in or out to get that mesh right IMO

I might just go with a clear tt body off ebay and just throw some paint in it. It's only 50 bucks. If I knew that I'd for sure get the body from the uk I wouldn't mind 120 but the chance of something going wrong and not getting it is what's holding me back. And glad you got it worked out with the belts. I might have some questions for you when I get mine ordered and installed. Lol. I read you changed your cover. What did you do to it?

I have a friend in Texas who has a patented product to make bodies out of. I had him coat the belt cover for me. I cracked the cheap cover first run on a rock. He fixed it up for me. Very sturdy now
