Hello everyone , as a Nitro enthuist having 25 nitros i purchased 2 rampage 1/5th scale vehicles, 1 being a rampage xt that was a box of parts and other being a rampage dunerunner or something unidentified still,, The XT has only been a headache so i ask for any assembly help i can get, Schematics ? The printed assembly instructions have only helped me to discover weekly parts im missing, LOL Waiting for the parts gives my headache time to go away, But ive purchased a CNC 2 speed tranny and dual steering servo conversion, seemed pretty straight forward but nothing clears for the steering crossover arm and A-arm top support, OK well if anyone has done this conversion for dual steering servos and can give me some ideas , Besides removing the crossover link arm completely and having independent servos for each front wheel, lol Im tempted For Sure, ???? Is there any GAS Heads Out there ? Nice to meet you all, Doug from washington state

I have done dual steering conversion on the same platform. I did it my way because to the best of my knowledge, there is no straightforward conversion kit. It would be helpful if you could post some pics of your setup and the parts you have.

1- this conversion kit is for a Rampage MT single servo to dual. It uses MT steering bellcranks. They do not work with the XT; that is why you can't use the crossover link. You will need to use 2 stock (XT/XB steering bellcranks).

By looking at your last picture it looks like even if you decide to not use the crossover link, you will have a gap with the front top plate due to the MT bellcranks/servo savers not high enough.

2- the servos should be set opposite of each other so when one pulls the other one pushes. In your current setup they both push/pulls at the same time. That will kill them.

Flip the receiver/battery box so the servo is at the front and not in the back (with the servo shaft facing outward).

I know my setup is custom but this is what it would look like.

3- your holes on the chassis may (certainly) not line up and you may need to drill and countersink some new ones on the chassis after finding the right layout/setup.

4- you will have to play with the layout to make it work unfortunately. It is not a plug and play setup.

It's doable thought!

Hi, again thanks for the pictures they helped more than any instructions i could find, ,, with some alteration to new mt reciever box to clear the center drive, and adding alittle angle to existing servo so both servos are sitting in same position but opposit sides, by swapping servo saver to opposite sides and yes drilling some new holes for reciever box, they are mounted and will control each front wheel seperately for now, ill add pictures after the reconstruction of reciever box is complete,, Thanks its much closer than before, I don't have the second steering link so i ordered 1,,,, More to come,,,
